DIY: Make your own R/C Hovercraft from Household Junk!
Posted in Recycling, Technology, Uncategorized on 19 August 2008

Sometimes it is important to mix fun with a serious cause not just to relax and take your mind on a joy ride, but it also helps initiate the young minds in to the eco-cause. What better way to introduce the concept of recycling and reuse to young kids than by building a Hovercraft with nothing but used household materials that are destined for the trash can! It is not as hard as you think and when the amphibious toy is done, one can have loads of fun with it both indoors and outdoors.

We all would like to go out and get a fancy new R/C Hovercraft toy and play with it, but it is not cheap and comes with a heavy burden to your pocket. So we decided to save both the planet and your bank account by presenting this DIY R/C hovercraft which both looks good and comes off as something that works very well. The stuff that is used to design this is nothing beyond the ones you find in your own garbage bin and maybe a few additions that you can pick up at any electric store. So Click Here and get started with the fun. It will truly be worth the effort once you are done with it.

For the lazy ones though, here is a more simple solution from personal experience. Just take the Styrofoam, make a hole in the center and make sure that it has a stem to which you can attach a balloon. Make the hole real thin and when you attach the balloon filled with air it glides because of air pressure. It won’t last long, but is a quickie!

A study confirms that this eco system can enhance up to maximum of 5-10%*1 vehicle’s fuel efficiency.

This eco driving indicator system would be of immense aid in harking back teenagers and learning drivers as well to keep their car’s speed in control. This recently commenced green technique could also be associated with collision avoidance radar systems being fitted in a number of cars for shoving aside drivers indulged in stalking on the road. Furthermore, the system can either be put in use or kept inoperative depending upon the driver’s requirements and driving circumstances.

Nissan is scheduling to put on this green product in market within a year period i.e. around 2009. I believe this would be indeed a revolutionary launch in the field of automobile industry.
