Installing plants inside our living room is possible now with a revolutionary concept developed by a student designer. Falling amongst the most phenomenal entries at the Australian Design Award, the Indoor hydroponic garden is a creation by designer
John Pallot.

His design essentially suggests an interior, mechanical hydroponic garden that accomplishes the Dyson criteria by integrating a system that can assist the plant growth in a closed apartment with slight preservation even in absence of sunlight. Pallot’s design works on a monitored system that controls the amount of water, food and light supplied to the plant as per the users’ understanding of the plant growth. The entire unit consumes less than 12V power to function and has a 4.5L tank. More than anything, it can be your eye-catching room separator.

Once again, it’s a feud between a superstar and a common person. And you don’t know who to blame. Apparently, the famous ex-James Bond Pierce Brosnan has gotten into trouble with his 77 year-old neighbor Cathy Ham Young. A farmer by occupation, Young has alleged that Brosnan has stolen water from her fields by diverting it into his own. As a result, her crop died. She even claims that the star has failed to replace a ditch, despite a judge’s order to do so. Brosnan on his part claims that by the time the water reaches his farm, it is polluted.
Things do not seem to be improving between Brosnan and his ‘friendly’ neighbor, with her exclaiming, “Pierce Brosnan stole my water. Because he’s a millionaire movie star, he thought he could just move in and steal my water.†But as per Brosnan’s lawyer, the actor is not at fault. He says, “Pierce has not been ordered to restore a ditch. A judge found that water goes through five different properties between Pierce’s property and Cathy Young’s property and that it’s not Pierce’s problem.†Hmmm…like I said in the beginning…you don’t know who to blame?

With the passage of time, conventional sources of energy have been seen as the most debatable issue. When the petroleum coffers available are getting parched, the utilization of these fossil fuels is also inviting critical eyes from the well-wishers of this land. But regardless of emerging negative aspects involved, one cannot deny that we have not still identified a doable substitute to the use of fossil fuels; in major proportion at least.
We continue blaming renewable sources of energy or complain about non-renewable sources. Coal is a reasonably found in abundance than petrol but the issue involved is that it discharges enormous quantity of CO2 in to the air. Knowingly, we carried on its usage in setting up thermal power plants but it’s high time when people should look for an innovative way to slash out on the emanation.
Considering the issue, the FutureGen has inked a deal with the US Energy Department to install a new coal power plant that will make 0% carbon emissions. While their very claim aroused my curiosity, a deep peep into the project made me familiar to the real projection of its working. To be installed in Illinois, the plant will send the carbon emissions produced deep into the earth and the ordinary environment would trap CO2 for eternity. It won’t burn the coal but would gasify it in order to diminish on carbon emissions. I still have doubts attached for dumping CO2 as earlier also we have made attempts and had to face its side-effects as the functioning of the planet is till not known. Wish you luck guys!
