Venezia: forbidden to give wheat doves

Diet forced the pigeons in Venice. A municipal ordinance prohibiting the distribution of becchime in Piazza San Marco. After one hundred years of loving dispensation of food to a thousand and more pigeons in the square, then, Venice has ceased to give feed the birds. But the 19 sellers of wheat protesting until May 7, residents seem sided with them and tourists fed them anyway.

The council has decided, however, that 19 vendors without more work are entitled to financial compensation that may be in cash or in licensing alternative to trace. Meanwhile, many tourists who have divided their sandwich (also “outlaw”: an ordinance prohibiting are also visitors to eat in Piazza San Marco) with the hungry creatures.

On the rave for the moment, only the extension of the traditional “Up and so on bridges” rave next May 4, hours dedicated not only to cat and dog, but also to pigeons: the manifest, along with four feet are checked, newly two wings.
