Samsung has been on a bit of a blazing green trial in the last six months as it is trying its best to launch a series of eco-friendly products. They have already launched Notebooks, Mobiles and Desktops in this series and are constantly adding more. All of these ‘green’ products may not really be all that good for the planet and you may not really like many of them. But there is always a chance that you could end up picking one from the lot and doing your little bid to help save the planet fro warming up faster!
Samsung has brought out two new desktops that share common specs including Intel’s G43 Chipset along with a choice between GeForce 9500GS with 512MB of VRAM and GeForce 9600GT with 512MB of VRAM. Both desktops apparently have an “eco-saving mode” that results in 60 watt energy consumption by the computers; both only consume one watt during standby. The price and the details are still not clear on both the models.
This really is not all that much both in terms of choice and green features. But when it comes to going green, every little thing counts. Maybe you can pick one of these up in case you happen to like them a tad bit more than the others.

LED technology is the coolest thing that could have happened to energy-saving endeavors of the lighting industry. They are one green solution that looks much better than conventional lighting option and by going green one would also go higher up the style ladder. LED lighting solutions are becoming a major part of eco-conscious products in a brilliant bright way. Here is another really useful gadget that uses the bling of LEDs with some seismic technology to both light up your streets and warn you of an impending disaster.
Sharp is introducing a new range of solar-powered LED streetlights. These self-contained lights charge during the day, and switch on automatically when darkness falls. They make use of new, high-intensity LED spotlights, which are ideal for public parks. The LEDs illuminate with a directed light and don?t send light into the sky. If you were an astronomer who is mad about the cosmos then this is the best thing to have ever happened to your optical telescope.
The LED streetlights also feature a Seismic Motion Sensor that detects the occurrence of a major earthquake. If an earthquake is detected, the light turns on at full brightness during the night, to assist during possible power interruptions. This allows not just one to save 80% of normal energy consumption, but also makes sure that you save plenty of lives when a major disaster strikes. These light could be the difference between life and death for many people and nothing can be more important than that!

When we talk about energy storage it is really important. In 2008 a new and very beneficial discovery in this way is the United State Department of Energy has commenced the operation that encourages Americans to recycle their old, inefficient refrigerators. The web site contains a calculator so users can determine how much energy their current refrigerator consumes, what they can save by replacing it with a new Energy Star model, and where they can take the old fridge to be recycled locally.

American council of economy helps us in browsing the energy efficient products. Chest freezers is the most efficient freezer because cold air is heavier than hot air so it does not escape from the freezer because it has a top cover that closes it tightly and it opens from the top. Chest freezers are truly well-organized than others. Frigidaire that is owned by Electrolux, W.C. Wood which is based in Canada and Haier in China are three companies that make U.S. freezers.
Whirlpool Chest Freezers are ultimate among most of other freezer. it is maximum energy saving refrigerator that has other efficient features like it interior light and temperature alert. Whirlpool Chest Freezers requires manual defrosting. It has four baskets and a key-lock facility it secures your freezer from children.
Sun Danzer is the more powerful the highly efficient Defrost compressor with outstanding low energy consumption. It is the most efficient DC powered freezer.

Now I believe that most of us do a job that involves the use of computers. A desk, a computer. Even students can no longer do without. And of course consume energy. Think of an office, say they work 20 people, with 20 computers switched on for at least 8 hours, then the printer, copier, fax, lights, conditioner (or heating in winter). Say that a small office also produces a certain impact on the environment.
If of course we can not do without it, then we use the various appliances sparingly. Svecchiare Bilparken with something newer and more efficient in terms of energy is good thing (of course not forgetting the recovery and reuse of old machines, perhaps even giving to schools or small cooperatives, if operating!)
If we did not plan to change the fleet, then we use what we have with some measure more. Or using common sense. Spegnendo the computer every time we do not need (if we go to lunch or at home-seems strange but there are those who leave your computer at night!) And using stand by when we have some short-long meeting or phone call , Perhaps shortening the waiting time before it starts automatically. And do not forget to turn off the lucetta of the screen, less profit led the TV. Or we use those devices already on the market that bring into stand-by directly slippers that attack thorns current, for this sbadati you forget the good practices.

A lot of electricity gets diverted towards the street lights. Ever wondered of sun or wind powering them? It’s possible now! Thanks to Mojtaba Navvab, of the University of Michigan Architectural Laboratory very soon our roads will be lighted by these hybrid solar-wind-powered streetlight. As of now the light has been erected near the Packard Road, entrance to Buhr Park.
Talk about the functioning and what meets the eye is a wind turbine and two solar panels, apart from a battery that stores the energy. This 70-watt, 24-volt light can store upto 100 amp hours at 24 volts in its two batteries. During the day it remains in off state while lights up during the day with light good enough like an electricity powered street light.
To begin with the cost of one light pole is coming out to be $1,800, which seems quite an amount to draw a city map lighted with such eco-friendly lights. But no doubts the concept will bring out good green returns towards the end.
