Israel celebrated its very own ‘Public Transportation Day’ on September, 23rd. An event that saw a professional conference being organised by the local green groups, plus a 6km drag race in Tel Aviv between different modes of transportation. The race was symbolic because Israel’s transportation has been bogged down by the increasing traffic and air pollution. The promised subways are just being built extremely slowly.
On the other hand, the rail system is witnessing a lot of delays and cost overruns. So, it was time the public decided for itself, which is the best mode of conveyance. The bright Tuesday morning, saw a race between a bus, which only travelled in its designated lane, a bicycle and a car. The three vehicles started out from the outskirts of Tel Aviv going towards the central train station.
The bike won and people saw how it was the best, quickest as well as green way to get to one’s destination. The bus came second while the car took the longest time struggling in the endless traffic.

It’s time to see young and innovative minds approaching the world with their fresh and youthful initiatives. Now lately in the turf of solar powered vehicles a further name, which is going to be impressed, is of University of Iowa Solar Club as the students of university has remarkably instigated an energy efficient solar bike on the roads.
This ecofriendly pollution free bike designed by a collegiate group comprising ten to twenty students can actually revolutionize the whole world of city bikes as of its superb green eminence. The only disheartening facet of this bike is its slow and sluggish speed which comes up to be somewhere around 50 mph only. In today’s viable and hasty world such a lethargic vehicle would not be able to survive for a long time until or unless some relevant perfection is attained in its speed front.
Under the headship of Daniel Rogge, an industrial engineer, the group deems to achieve the target speed of 62 mph in imminent future. Although this newly commenced solar innovation exhibited in yellow color appears to be a weird creation yet it would be barely defied by anyone in this young and modernized horde.

Nissan Mori is both a unique and an inspirational green concept that is more of a concept than a ‘Nissan’. While Nissan themselves have nothing two with making an electric bike that looks like it has fallen in to the real world from Looney Toon Land, it is what an imaginative designer feels Nissan must be making. (Now, you can see why the big boys do not let anyone and everyone design their stuff). A designer by the name of Shane Crozier has gone ahead and imagined what a scooter by Nissan that was inspired by a chest of drawers would look like.

Nissan Mori is a product of that inspiration and irrespective of what anyone think, we feel that it is really cool in a cute sorts of way. The Mori is all about eco-commuting in a big modern city and it serves its purpose pretty well. But it looks more suited for transportation in malls or in airports. While super-sleek city road might not need a mud guard, this still could do with one. Yet what attracts you is the green concept of an electric powered simple scooter that occupies very little space.

While it is unlikely that Nissan will turn to younger audience who intend to travel across the city in a cool new way with something like Mori, it is a fairly interesting idea that might yield something substantial in future in terms of green commuting.

One look at the GYM concept car and you have to fall in love with the design and the wonderful aerodynamic feel the car has. But when you examine the car and the way it functions in detail, you are sure to take a pass on it rather than actually pick it up and go for a drive. So why is it that you would not really be crazy about a car that looks as cool as the GYM? The answer is simple and it is because it makes you sweat for a decent joy ride around the block.
The GYM Concept Car is powered by your energy and it uses the energy of a work-out to power the car. Kinetic energy from your workout is stored in the car and it is later used to drive it ahead. Of course, you could just plug it in for a charge and that is pretty eco-friendly as well, but that is not in the true spirit of this vehicle!

The concept looks too fancy to be true and unless I like to spend loads of cash on a fancy exoskeleton that I need to push around all the time, I this will not interest many. But maybe we can plug the cars to those preparing for London 2012 and they could start a mass transportation system each day after the practice sessions are done!

In one way or another we all ought to be conscious of the verity that the oodles of food items which are getting wasted today would actually roll out to be a giant impasse for us in imminent future. Subsequently in order to isolate generations from this grim trouble an eco canvasser named Sang Hoon Lee has come out with a most up-to-date technique identified as “Green Cycler.” By means of this ambiance friendly modernism, we can essentially confer an amazing green treatment to spoiled and misused foodstuff since this instigated eco mechanism would effectively putrefy frittered away food into valuable fertilizer for the plants.

This structure is aptly named as Green Cycler as it would help purge out the exasperating spoiled food stink away from the surrounds. Likewise it would be of splendid support in rapid growth of plant as of the nutrients offered to it by the decomposed food turned stimulant matter. Besides this the plant’s “going to be ready status” in this Green Cycler is exhibited by a downward going light beam.

Hence, undeniably this green concept would authentically sort out the food waste dilemma in a very short cross of time.

For ages Bicycle has been the solitary means of transference that neither gulps any fuel nor does it defile our environment. But in the present day gears are shifting, cities are getting crammed full and occupied, ambiance getting further smudged, hence innovative minds are exploring out vicinities where one would dig up an economical and comforting way out for commutation.
In view of that researchers have premeditated an absolutely novel quad cycle model labeled Dogsled which has been powerfully developed out of steel into a ladder based framework. Although with a weird and peculiar look this part of a set would not draw much consideration from city natives yet it would enormously facilitate moving around in rustic areas of the state.
Adding up, instead of just two riders this quad cycle can effortlessly accommodate a total of four riders who would be required to continuously pedal up the vehicle for delivering power to the right side back wheel and to the opposed wheel for bringing the vehicle to a halt. I suppose this medium of conveyance would wrap up small gaps by far in the countryside without spending a good deal on fuel. Besides this inimitably planned out ecofriendly cycle bears out to be an inexpensive covenant for masses as well.
