Venturi Eclectic Strikes Back With a Difference

Design:
Venturi Eclectic is the first energy autonomous electric vehicle released as a concept at the 2006 Paris Motor Show. A newer and improved adaptation of it is out now. While the older version looked like a golf cart, the newer one is compact, costs less and is more aerodynamic. It is a 3-seater passenger urban car with a roof-mounted solar panel, a 300watt wind turbine, an electric motor and a special attraction- the optional doors. Its large front window gives a panoramic view to the passengers.

Attractions:
This robotic car is eco-friendly in many ways. It runs on solar power in the day, on wind powered generator on gusty days and on a still night the plug-in battery makes sure you never run out of juice. It’s a complete zero-emission vehicle with ultra-low power consumption.

Drawbacks:
This small, futuristic urban green car is designed for lethargic slow-paced city drivers and can’t go faster than 45Kmph. The wind turbine can contribute an average of 13km/day on windy days. The battery too probably cannot drag the car longer and is suitable for city use only.
On a Final Note:
The new Venturi Eclectic surely might have many takers despite its drawbacks a it is perfect for daily use by an urban driver. It sure brings forth beautifully the three safe green sources of energy- solar, wind and electric.
