Giving Dogs a Home

Dogs After the recent Michael Vick dog-fighting incident, animal lover are back in action. January the 28th will witness for the first time an event like Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. Yes, the media has been invited to this little home of 22 animals that were rescued from the dog-fighting operation. The event will also feature interactions with the dogs’ caregivers. Even the cast of the new National Geographic Channel documentary series “Dogtown” will be meeting fans.

Located in Kanab, Utah, this sanctuary came to the rescue of these poor pooches by indulging them in a much needed puppy vacation. The Best Friends Animal Sanctuary also gives shelter to cats, birds, bunnies and horses. Doing so, it claims to be the nation’s largest no-kill rescue. Don’t worry if you can’t make it to Utah. These best friends of animals insure that you can do your bit while still in your city or town. Yes, the society helps you locate your local dog shelter or animal care home. So why don’t you pull up your socks and do a deed of kindness. Go save a life.
