A film on environment is rarity. And it was Mario Van Peebles who dared to be different with his eco-friendly horror flick “Recycle or Be Recycled”. Indeed, a very weird combination but it was cool attempt. Filmed at a peaceful valley ashram, the movie is basically about a family vacationing at the ‘eco-valley’. Apparently, the ashram they stay in is haunted and they soon find themselves being attacked by ghosts for visiting a forbidden graveyard, wasting water and forgetting to recycle.
Peebles has always been conscious of his responsibility towards nature, a fact that has been visible since 1979. Very soon, he will be seen in a TV series called “MVP’s Green House”, which will follow the Peebles family perform a green renovation at home. Viewers will also get to see celebrity guests like Ed Begley Jr in the show. Peebles is currently working on a documentary, “Bring Your ‘A’ Game” starring Sean (P.Diddy) Combs, Chris Rock, Spike Lee and Ice Cube.
